About

ehud-nov16

I am a Professor of Computing Science at the University of Aberdeen.  I focus on Natural Language Generation (NLG) technology, that is software which using artificial intelligence and natural language processing techniques to automatically produce high-quality texts and narratives, from non-linguistic data.  In recent years much of my research has focused on evaluation of generated texts, especially human evaluation.  I am no longer Chief Scientist of Arria.

I will probably retire in summer 2026, and am open to suggestions for interesting projects to get involved in afterwards (research, not teaching or proposal writing).

In addition to this blog and website, I also have a homepage at Aberdeen University.

Outside of work, I am president of the Aberdeen Synagogue and Jewish Community Centre.
