I am an Emeritus (retired) Professor of Computing Science at the University of Aberdeen.  I work on Natural Language Generation (NLG) technology, focusing on high-quality evaluation and on healthcare applications.   I am also co-editor of TACL.

I hope to still stay active in NLG and NLP in retirement, and am open to suggestions for interesting projects to get involved in (research, not teaching or proposal writing).

Outside of work, I am president of the Aberdeen Synagogue and Jewish Community Centre.
